Privacy Policy

This policy covers Shopedown, an AI creative tool for online sellers: the website (shopedown.com) and any Shopedown plugin we make available.

Not affiliated with Shopee

Shopedown is an independent product. It is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Shopee, Sea Limited, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. "Shopee" is a trademark of its respective owner; we refer to it only to describe the marketplace our users sell on.

What we do not access

Shopedown never asks for your Shopee password and has no access to your marketplace account. It cannot see your shop, orders or customers, and it cannot publish anything for you.

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run an account and the AI feature: your email address, what you have paid for, and the product descriptions you send to the AI when you ask for a draft.

AI features and the text you enter

When you click Generate, the product description you typed, together with the options you chose (what to write, tone and language), is sent through our servers to the provider that runs our text model, GPT6, which returns the generated text.

• We use it only to fulfil your request. We do not use your content to train our own models, and we ask our AI provider not to train on it.
• The AI features handle text only.
• Requests and results are checked by an automated content filter before and after generation, to enforce our acceptable-use rules.
• Please do not enter other people's personal data. Describe your product, not your customers.

The drafts you generate are shown to you in the page. We do not keep a history of your drafts on our servers.

What we store on our servers

If you never create an account, we store nothing about you. When you create an account we store:

• Email address and display name.
• Password, stored only as a salted hash.
• Sign-up details such as IP address, browser locale and referral source, used for fraud prevention and to understand where sign-ups come from.
• A daily usage count of AI drafts, to apply the free and Pro allowances.
• Subscription and order records — which plan you bought, when, and its status.

Payments

Payments are processed by Waffo, which acts as the Merchant of Record. You enter card details on Waffo's systems, not ours. We never see or store your full card number. We receive from Waffo only what we need to grant access: a transaction reference, billing email, amount and subscription status. Waffo's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Other processors

We use service providers to run the site: cloud hosting, transactional email (verification, password resets and receipts), and the provider of our AI model. They process data only on our behalf and under contract. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking on this website. If we use privacy-oriented analytics to count visits, it records aggregate page-view information and does not build a profile of you.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language and theme preferences. There are no advertising cookies on this site.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information or share it for behavioural advertising.
• We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Sharing

We share personal data only with the processors above, only as needed to run the service. We may also disclose data where legally required, or to establish or defend legal claims.

Retention

Account and billing records are kept while your account is open, and for up to seven years after it closes where tax or accounting law requires it. Other data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account from your account settings. For anything else email support@shopedown.com; we reply within 3 business days and complete requests within 30 days, free of charge. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children

Shopedown is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes, and give notice by email or in the product before any material change takes effect.
